Vancouver Canucks defenceman Quinn Hughes is a game-time decision for Monday night’s matchup against the San Jose Sharks, per head coach Rick Tocchet.

Sportsnet 650’s Brendan Batchelor shared quotes from Tocchet on X/Twitter, saying the Canucks captain is a little banged-up.

“He’s dealing with a couple of things that we’ll figure out at game time … he’ll probably want to play, but I’ll make that decision … it just happened last game,” Tocchet said.

The news comes two days after Saturday’s 5-4 loss to the Ottawa Senators in overtime where Hughes logged 26:20 of total ice time. The blueliner picked up one goal and two assists.

This season, Hughes has appeared in 33 games for the Canucks, recording eight goals and 32 assists.
